Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for an experienced professional as a Project Manager: Architecture FH / ETH for the independent planning and realisation of demanding building projects in a quality-oriented Swiss architectural environment. You will take overall project management from the initial design idea through project planning and execution planning to building acceptance and key handover. In doing so, you coordinate clients, specialist planners, authorities and contractors, lead project teams and are responsible for compliance with cost, schedule and quality requirements. The position combines architectural design, constructive detailed planning, tendering, cost management and construction coordination with comprehensive responsibility across all SIA project phases.

Responsibilities:

• Overall project management architecture: Independent leadership of demanding building projects from concept development to completion and handover to the client

• Design and project planning: Development and further processing of architectural concepts, preliminary projects and building projects taking into account design, technical and economic requirements

• Execution and detailed planning: Responsibility for the creation and quality assurance of working drawings, construction details, component connections and execution documents

• Project team leadership: Professional management and coordination of architects, draftsmen and other internal project participants

• Specialist planner coordination: Management of collaboration with structural engineers, building services planners, specialists and contractors

• Cost planning and project controlling: Preparation and monitoring of cost estimates, cost proposals, project budgets and cost forecasts

• Tendering and awarding: Preparation and control of specifications, tender documents, offer comparisons and award proposals

• Construction administration: Processing of contracts, amendments, invoice checks and project accounting, ideally with DELTAproject

• Authorities and approval procedures: Coordination of building submissions, official requirements and approval processes taking into account applicable building regulations

• Construction execution and quality control: Accompanying the construction implementation, checking demanding construction details and coordinating with site management and contractors

• Client consulting: Support and advice for clients and principals regarding architecture, materialisation, costs, schedules and execution quality

• SIA project management: Management of project phases according to SIA 102 as well as ensuring compliance with relevant SIA standards, quality standards and contractual requirements

Qualifications:

• Education: Completed architecture studies as an architect FH or ETH with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree

• Professional experience: At least five years of professional experience in a Swiss architectural office, ideally with independent project management responsibility

• Project management: Solid experience in overall project management, team leadership, specialist planner coordination and client support

• Execution planning: In-depth knowledge of building construction, working drawings, detail development and construction implementation of demanding architectural projects

• Costs and tendering: Very good knowledge of cost planning, tenders, awarding procedures, contracts and construction accounting

• Standards and software: Confident application of SIA standards, especially SIA 102 and SIA 118, as well as experience with common CAD/BIM software; knowledge of DELTAproject is an advantage

• Languages: Very good German skills in spoken and written form
