Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for an experienced professional for project management in architecture and the holistic planning and realisation of demanding building projects in an established Swiss architectural firm in Winterthur. You will take independent responsibility for diverse new build, conversion, residential and educational building projects and accompany these from conceptual planning to successful completion. The focus is on architectural project development, leading interdisciplinary planning teams, and precise execution planning with ArchiCAD. The position combines creative responsibility with technical project management and offers the opportunity to actively shape demanding construction projects across several SIA phases.

Responsibilities:

• Independent management and coordination of architectural projects in the areas of residential construction, school construction, conversion and existing building development

• Responsibility for architectural project work from concept and design phase through execution planning to realisation

• Leadership and professional coordination of internal project teams as well as coordination with clients, specialist planners, authorities and contractors

• Development and further development of architectural design concepts considering spatial quality, functionality, materialisation and cost-effectiveness

• Control and quality assurance of execution planning including working drawings, detail drawings, construction solutions and technical interfaces

• Creation and coordination of digital architectural models and planning documents with ArchiCAD as well as ensuring consistent planning documentation

• Coordination of specialist planning from structural engineering, building services, building physics and other special disciplines

• Monitoring of project deadlines, planning milestones and quality requirements in collaboration with the client and project participants

• Support of building permit procedures including coordination with authorities, review of building regulations and handling of conditions

• Support in tenders and awards through technical specifications, execution details and planning basics

• Professional support during construction including clarification of structural issues, plan adjustments and coordination with site management

• Participation in the development of site and design planning projects as well as the further development of architectural and urban planning concepts

Qualifications:

• Completed architecture studies at ETH or FH with solid knowledge in architectural design, project planning and building construction

• Several years of professional experience in a Swiss architectural firm with practical experience in project work and architectural planning

• Proven experience in execution planning including working drawings, constructive detail development and technical planning coordination

• Confident use of ArchiCAD for creating and editing architectural models, project plans and execution documents

• Knowledge of Swiss SIA standards, planning phases and building regulations as well as experience in coordinating specialist planners and authorities

• Experience in professional leadership of project teams and independent management of architectural planning and decision-making processes

• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form for project meetings, planning coordination, technical documentation and communication with clients and project partners
