Role:

On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced individual for the comprehensive project and construction management of demanding conversion, renovation and interior fit-out projects in existing buildings. You will accompany projects from the initial concept and design phase through building permit application, tendering and execution planning to turnkey handover. The focus is particularly on commercial and office spaces, existing buildings, façade renovations as well as technical and structural renewals of residential buildings. You will take responsibility for costs, deadlines, quality and coordination of all project participants.

Responsibilities:

• Independent project and construction management of conversion, renovation, refurbishment and office fit-out projects from conception to acceptance and handover

• Development of concepts, layouts and execution documents as well as planning work on existing buildings and interior fit-out projects

• Preparation and coordination of building permit applications and approval procedures including liaison with authorities and other specialist offices

• Coordination of clients, architects, specialist planners, contractors and suppliers throughout all project phases

• Creation and monitoring of project, planning, tendering and execution schedules as well as management of relevant milestones

• Responsibility for cost planning, cost control and project controlling including checking of offers, invoices and change orders

• Conducting tendering and awarding as well as support with contracts and other project-related contractual documents

• Organisation of construction processes and site logistics as well as ensuring efficient implementation during ongoing operations and challenging existing conditions

• Assumption of on-site construction management including quality controls, acceptance, defect management and documentation

• Leading and minuting of project, planning and construction meetings as well as consistent follow-up of pending issues and decisions

• Ensuring compliance with relevant SIA standards, building regulations, contractual bases and quality requirements

• Use of digital planning and construction management systems such as ArchiCAD, Messerli, ProjektPro and MS Project for planning, cost and schedule control

Qualifications:

• Draftsperson EFZ specialising in architecture (building construction), certified technician HF in construction planning/architecture or comparable construction-technical training

• Several years of project and construction management experience in Switzerland, ideally in conversions, renovations and interior fit-outs

• Sound knowledge of construction management, cost planning, tendering, schedule control and contract law

• Practical experience in planning, building permit applications, execution planning and client representation

• Good knowledge of Swiss building legislation, SIA standards and industry-standard contractual bases

• Confident handling of ArchiCAD as well as construction management and project planning systems such as Messerli, ProjektPro or MS Project

• Fluent in German and French; English skills required, Italian skills an advantage
