In this role, you take end-to-end responsibility for one or more products from the portfolio, carrying the content-related, qualitative, and economic overall responsibility. You manage particularly demanding, business-critical, or strategically relevant products with high professional, regulatory, or economic significance and act as a professional reference point within the product organisation. You develop a clear product vision and strategy and ensure through active lifecycle management that your products are professionally meaningful, technologically viable, and sustainably further developed within the available budgets. In a highly regulated environment, you respond proactively to legal changes, changing customer needs, and technological developments. In doing so, you balance stability and innovation to secure the existing customer base in the long term and continuously develop your products towards the future.
Responsibilities:
- You carry end-to-end responsibility for your products throughout the entire lifecycle
- In this role, you develop and maintain a clear product strategy and product roadmap in coordination with relevant stakeholders
- As a Senior Product Manager, you steer the economic development of your products including cost, budget, and prioritisation decisions
- You prepare costs, benefits, and impacts of product decisions transparently and thus create the basis for portfolio and investment decisions
- In this role, you actively manage conflicts of objectives between legal requirements, customer demands, technical feasibility, and available resources
- As a Senior Product Manager, you coach Product Managers and Junior Product Managers and contribute to the development of standards, methods, and decision quality in product management
Qualifications:
- You have a completed higher education (HF/FH/University) in computer science, business informatics, business administration, or a comparable qualification
- You have at least 5 years of proven successful experience in product management of complex digital products, ideally in enterprise content management
- You work confidently with user experience and/or solution design and can specifically manage this collaboration
- You handle high professional, regulatory, or organisational complexity confidently and make well-founded, viable decisions even in different initial situations
- You bring solid knowledge in agile product development (Scrum, ideally SAFe) as well as experience in stakeholder management in complex organisational and system landscapes
- You are characterised by an analytical, structured working style, high quality awareness, strong customer and solution orientation, as well as very good German skills (at least level C1)
