The Popular University of the Canton of Geneva (UPCGe) is a non-profit association whose mission is to promote the social, cultural and civic integration of adults, notably through teaching French as a foreign language and developing basic skills.
As the current post holder is retiring, the UPCGe is looking for:
A Training Manager
Your mission
As Training Manager, you will ensure the coordination, development and supervision of the entire educational sector. You are responsible for recruiting, training and supporting volunteer trainers as well as the strategic development of the institution's training offer.
Your main responsibilities
- Lead and develop the entire educational sector of the institution
- Ensure the quality of training and continuous improvement of teaching practices
- Recruit, train and support volunteer trainers
- Supervise educational staff and delegated activities
- Ensure the operational coordination of training programmes
- Participate in the strategic development of the institution and represent the UPCGe with its partners
Your profile
- Federal certificate for adult trainers (BFFA / FFA-FSEA) or equivalent qualification required
- Diploma in teaching French as a foreign language (FLE) or equivalent qualification required
- Certification as DELF and/or fide examiner required
- Proven experience in teaching French as a foreign language to adults
- Experience in designing and managing training schemes
- Experience in recruiting, supervising and supporting volunteers
- Good knowledge of the Geneva adult education and integration network
- Excellent organisational, interpersonal and writing skills
- Comfortable working in a network and associative environment
