Senior Infrastructure Network Engineer (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF110,000 - 135,000Role:
Networks form the backbone of every critical infrastructure, and this is exactly where you, as a Senior Infrastructure Network Engineer, take overall responsibility. Across all business areas, you actively shape the network architecture and drive a comprehensive redesign. You bring your expertise in network security and ensure that segmentation, zero trust, and firewall concepts remain state-of-the-art. As an experienced professional, you are the central contact person for all network-related topics and continuously build internal know-how.
Responsibilities:
You take overall responsibility for the network infrastructure across all business areas
You design, plan, and lead a comprehensive network redesign including target architecture and migration strategy
You develop and implement network security concepts, including segmentation, zero trust, firewall policies, and VPN
You operate and monitor routers, switches, firewalls, and WLAN in a 24/7 environment and occasionally take on on-call duties
You work closely with the server/client, VMware, and cloud teams
Additionally, you create network documentation as well as operational and emergency concepts and promote internal knowledge transfer
Qualifications:
You have a higher professional education in the ICT field or a degree in computer science or network technology
You bring proven professional experience in the network area, including several years in an architecture or senior role
You are well versed in network automation, ideally also with PowerShell
Certifications in firewall and network technologies are an advantage
You have good knowledge in related areas such as virtualisation and server or client infrastructure
Furthermore, you have solid experience with critical 24/7 infrastructures, ideally in a regulated industry, and express yourself confidently in German as well as proficiently in English
