Founded in 1535 in Geneva, our institution supports people who, at some point in their lives, need assistance for the necessary time to (re)gain sustainable autonomy. We promote the social and professional reintegration of people receiving social assistance, we welcome and house asylum seekers whom we support in their integration process. Finally, we participate in the fight against the isolation of seniors.

We are more than 1,600 employees spread over 60 sites throughout the canton. We support more than 40,000 people.

Your mission

You actively contribute to meeting the challenges of professional and socio-professional integration of people benefiting from Hospice général's services.

In close collaboration with social workers, you promote sustainable integration and autonomy of beneficiaries by relying on their needs, resources, and identifying any obstacles that may exist.

Your main activities

• You support people in the socio-professional and professional integration phase, enabling them to build a project adapted to their situation;
• You continuously establish and adjust, in collaboration with the beneficiary and, if applicable, a social worker or any other partner, a professional or socio-professional reintegration plan taking into account the specific needs, resources, and obstacles of the person;
• You propose measures according to the person’s needs (training, advanced training or refresher courses, internships) and evaluate the results;
• You support the job seeker in optimising their positioning on the job market by developing their employability and personal and professional skills;
• Result-oriented, you aim for a sustainable return to employment for people in the professional integration phase by ensuring dynamic support;
• You are proactive and participate in defining, evaluating, and adjusting the catalogue of measures;
• You mobilise and call upon services and partners in the fields of assessment, orientation, training, and employment;
• You strengthen these partnerships through networking with internal and external partners, as well as companies.
• You develop and are responsible for implementing the professional reintegration plan and conduct regular reviews with the relevant partners;
• You establish collaboration and regular intervention in field units to enable rapid identification of people with professional integration/employability potential;
• You provide professional integration expertise close to social workers.

Your profile

• You hold a Bachelor’s degree in social work or human sciences, or an equivalent qualification;
• You have at least three years’ experience in placement, human resources, or professional or social integration. Additional training in professional integration (Certificate of Advanced Studies level) or equivalent is desirable;
• You demonstrate specific skills in socio-professional and professional integration, employment, and placement;
• You have the necessary sensitivity to work with a public concerned by migration backgrounds as well as social assistance situations;
• You have a good knowledge of the socio-economic fabric and the Geneva job market;
• Knowledge of the legal framework related to migrant aid and/or social assistance is an asset;
• You have a strong interest in inter-institutional collaboration;
• You can adapt to complex and constantly evolving environments and notably work transversally with partner services;
• You are mobile daily and easily operate within a multi-site organisation;
• You are recognised for your ability to work in a team, as well as for your dynamic and proactive personality;
• You have a sense of contact, negotiation, initiative-taking, and creativity;
• You have excellent command of spoken and written French, as well as IT and office tools;
• Mastery of foreign languages, especially English, can be an additional asset.
