Role:

As a Senior Cloud Engineer Azure, you design the architecture of a business-critical Microsoft Azure platform and further develop it technically. Your focus is on scalable, highly available, and secure solutions across compute, networking, and identity. You define standards yourself and ensure they are applied in practice. Complex incidents do not deter you, as this is where your technical depth is demonstrated.

Responsibilities:

• You design sophisticated network architectures with virtual networks, private endpoints, DNS, routing, and firewalling.

• You establish architectural principles for subscriptions, resource groups, and platform services and embed security and governance requirements directly into the design.

• You build standardised deployment processes and automate the infrastructure with Terraform, PowerShell, and Bicep.

• Additionally, you are responsible for identity and access concepts with managed identities, app registrations, and Microsoft Entra ID.

• You design disaster recovery, backup, and high availability solutions and define appropriate monitoring concepts with Log Analytics.

• Furthermore, you lead the technical analysis of complex disruptions and continuously optimise the platform in terms of automation, security, and costs.

Qualifications:

• You bring at least 5 years of experience in Azure and Microsoft infrastructure engineering and have already been architecturally responsible for complex environments.

• You are familiar with Azure landing zones, resource structures, and cloud governance from your own implementation.

• You handle identity topics such as RBAC, enterprise applications, and managed identities as proficiently as peering, VPN, and private DNS.

• Furthermore, you automate sophisticated processes with PowerShell and skilfully apply infrastructure as code (IaC) with Bicep or Terraform.

• You are familiar with Windows Server and hybrid Microsoft infrastructures, as well as observability, alerting, and recovery concepts.

• Additionally, you understand dependencies between Azure, networking, security, and Microsoft 365 and make clear architectural decisions based on this.
