Network Security Engineer (m/f/d)

Role:
Networks are more than just routing and switching to you? In this role, you design modern, highly available network and security architectures and bring demanding infrastructure projects from the initial idea to productive operation.
Responsibilities:
Development of modern network and security architectures for complex IT environments
Design of scalable LAN, WAN, data centre and cloud networking solutions
Creation of technical architecture, network and security concepts
Design and implementation of zero-trust and security-by-design approaches
Planning and execution of demanding migrations and modernisations
Engineering and integration of firewall, routing, switching and security platforms
Building highly available and resilient network environments
Analysis of complex performance, connectivity and security issues
Technical leadership and implementation of demanding customer projects
Consulting on technology decisions and architectural questions
Support in presales and solution design phases
Evaluation of new technologies around cloud networking, SASE, SD-WAN and network security
Optimisation of existing platforms through automation and standardised operational processes
Qualifications:
Several years of experience in network engineering, network security or a comparable role
Deep understanding of modern network architectures
Very good knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls and network security
Solid experience with hybrid network environments and cloud connectivity
Experience with technologies such as SD-WAN, SASE, zero trust or network automation is an advantage
Certification level such as CCIE, HCIE or comparable technical expertise
Ability to analyse complex technical contexts and translate them into robust solutions
Independent and structured working style with a high quality standard
Enjoyment of architecture, engineering and demanding technical challenges
Willingness to take responsibility for critical infrastructure and complex projects
