Description
Key responsabilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements related to trading, logistics, and business operations.
- Provide day-to-day legal support to commercial, operations, and finance teams on contractual and regulatory matters.
- Assist with compliance, KYC, and onboarding procedures to ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations.
- Support the management of contractual disputes, insurance claims, and operational issues arising from trading activities.
- Conduct legal research and regulatory monitoring to support risk management and business decision-making.
Profile
Successful candidate:
- Master's degree in Law from a reputable university, ideally with a focus on International Trade Law, Maritime Law, Commercial Law, or related disciplines.
- < 2 year's of relevant professional experience gained within a commodity trading company, shipping organization, or a law firm advising clients in the commodities sector.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken, is essential, additional languages are considered an asset.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with stakeholders across different functions and jurisdictions.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a pragmatic, business-oriented approach.
- Highly organized, proactive, and capable of performing in a demanding and fast-moving environment.
