As part of a specialised systems engineering team, you take responsibility for a versatile Linux landscape and ensure that platforms are operated reliably, automatically, and sustainably. You work on both classic Linux systems and modern container platforms and actively contribute your ideas to further development.
Responsibilities:
You operate and further develop Linux systems based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux and SUSE.
You automate recurring tasks and optimise existing processes with Red Hat Satellite, Ansible Automation Platform, and SUSE Manager.
You take responsibility for the administration and further development of the Rancher Kubernetes Engine.
You analyse existing environments and implement technical improvements for stable and efficient operation.
You work closely with other specialists in the twelve-member systems engineering team.
You support the further development of the infrastructure and contribute your technical know-how to relevant engineering tasks.
You regularly take part in on-call duties within systems engineering.
Qualifications:
Ideally, you have a background in computer science.
You have practical experience in Linux engineering and are confident on the command line.
You are interested in Kubernetes, container platforms, and modern cloud technologies or have already gained relevant experience.
You possess strong analytical skills and approach technical challenges in a structured manner.
You communicate clearly, solution-oriented, and constructively with different stakeholders.
You are open to learning new technologies and continuously expanding your expertise.
You have fluent German skills and good English skills.
Ideally, you hold a category B driving licence.
