General Accountant

About the job

The Town and Municipality of Boudry, which has nearly 6,700 inhabitants, employs around 95 collaborators serving the population.

To strengthen the Finance Department team, the Municipal Council is advertising the position of

General Accountant at 100% (M/F)

 Within a dynamic team, you actively participate in the financial and accounting management of the Municipality, in compliance with the applicable legal standards.

 Your tasks

You are responsible in particular for the following tasks:

• Maintaining general and subsidiary accounting according to MCH2 standards
• Recording and checking accounting entries
• Monitoring debtors and creditors
• Preparing VAT returns
• Participating in the annual closing of accounts and budget preparation
• Contributing to the improvement of accounting and financial processes
• Carrying out controlling and budget monitoring tasks

Required experience and training

• Training in accounting (CFC commercial employee with accounting specialisation)
• Federal diploma as a specialist in finance and accounting, an advantage
• Proven professional experience in a similar role and/or in controlling (minimum 10 years).
• Experience in municipal administration is a major asset
• Comfortable with IT tools and accounting ERPs (Abacus, an advantage)
• Excellent command of common IT tools, especially Excel
