What is my role?

Our client is looking for a System Engineer Unix who, together with the team, is responsible for the maintenance, further development and renewal of various systems:

• Renewal of infrastructure: web, DB and mail clusters, storage systems, network ?

• Planning and integration of new services in project teams from conception to operation

• Security engineering: assessment and response to threats and security vulnerabilities

• Documentation from concept to implementation as well as monitoring integration

• System operations: configuration management, rollout, debugging ?

• Evaluation and introduction of new technologies

The tasks are flexibly adapted according to the project, your strengths and interests

What do I need to be successful?

• Computer science degree from a university of applied sciences or self-made Unix techie

• Solid Unix and internet know-how

• Curiosity, passion for technology and a drive to understand things

• Sound understanding of network technologies and protocols (SMTP, HTTP, PROXY, NFS, TLS)

• Experience with shells and scripting languages

• Analytical, critical thinking with a flair for clean concepts

• Initiative and independent working style

• German (confident) and English (good)
