Project Manager Architecture & Interior Architecture (m/f/d)

Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for a committed professional for the holistic project management of architecture and interior architecture projects. You will take responsibility for consulting, planning, cost planning and construction implementation of diverse building projects and accompany your projects from the initial idea to successful handover. The focus is on developing functional and aesthetically convincing spatial concepts, coordinating approval procedures and contractor awards, as well as independent site management. The position combines creative planning, economic project management and practical construction execution with direct customer contact and high personal responsibility.

Responsibilities:

• Independent management of architecture and interior architecture projects from the first client consultation through planning to completion and handover

• Consulting and support of clients and principals regarding design, use, technical feasibility and economic implementation

• Development of architectural, interior and utilisation concepts considering functional, aesthetic and operational requirements

• Preparation of planning, building permit and execution documents as well as coordination of required planning services

• Preparation of cost estimates, quotations and project budgets including ongoing cost control and economic evaluation of planning variants

• Preparation, submission and support of building permit procedures as well as coordination with the responsible authorities

• Preparation and coordination of tender documents including obtaining, checking and comparing contractor offers

• Preparation and conclusion of contracts as well as support in contract negotiations with executing companies

• Independent assumption of site management including organisation of the construction site, coordination of trades and monitoring of construction progress

• Responsibility for compliance with cost, schedule and quality requirements during planning and construction execution

• Clarification of technical and design execution details with specialist planners, suppliers and craft businesses as well as regular site inspections

• Organisation and support of building inspections, defect rectifications and project handovers including final accounting and ensuring customer satisfaction

Qualifications:

• Completed higher education in architecture or interior architecture HF/FH or equivalent recognised qualification in Switzerland

• Two to five years of professional experience in architecture or interior architecture planning, ideally with practical experience in project management, tendering and site management

• Sound knowledge in planning, cost planning and construction implementation as well as understanding of constructive details, materialisation and functional spatial design

• Knowledge of Swiss building and approval procedures as well as relevant SIA standards, especially in project execution, cost control and construction implementation

• Confident use of common IT, office and planning applications; experience with Vectorworks CAD is an advantage

• Experience in coordinating contractors, specialist planners and authorities as well as in preparing offers, tender documents and contracts

• Good German language skills in spoken and written form, driving licence category B and willingness to travel for projects and regular site visits
