Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced individual as Construction Manager Building Construction for the independent planning, organisation, and management of demanding building construction projects. You will be responsible for the operational project execution from work preparation through site organisation to interim and final billing, consistently keeping an eye on costs, deadlines, and execution quality. As a central interface, you coordinate internal project teams, clients, planners, suppliers, and other project participants. The role combines solid site experience with work preparation (AVOR), resource planning, project controlling, and construction administration.
Responsibilities:
Independent planning, organisation, and leadership of building construction projects during the execution phase
Responsibility for costs, deadlines, quality, and economical project execution
Conducting work preparation (AVOR) and planning the necessary site resources
Coordination and professional support of foremen, site teams, and other project participants
Deployment planning and scheduling of personnel, vehicles, machinery, and construction equipment
Coordination of subcontractors, suppliers, and material procurement
Central contact person for clients, planners, project management, and internal specialist departments
Monitoring construction execution regarding performance, quality, safety, and construction schedule
Preparation and control of measurements, extra work, as well as interim and final accounts
Conducting ongoing project controlling including target-actual comparisons and cost forecasts
Handling claims and changes in scope and ensuring comprehensible project documentation
Accompanying acceptances, defect rectifications, and project completions
Qualifications:
Completed technical basic training in construction with further education as construction manager, technician HF, or civil engineer FH
Several years of professional experience as construction manager in building construction
Solid knowledge in work preparation (AVOR), site organisation, and resource planning
Experience in measurement, costing, project controlling, and construction accounting
Confident handling of common construction software and Microsoft 365
Good knowledge of relevant SIA standards, contracts for work, and Swiss construction processes
Very good German language skills spoken and written
