The Early Childhood Service (SDPE) is responsible for implementing the early childhood policy of the City of Geneva by managing municipal childcare facilities and supporting the childcare structures it subsidises. To complete our teams at the Monique Bauer-Laggier early childhood centre, a facility offering extended services, we are looking for a
Childcare Educator at 60%
Your mission and responsibilities
- Organise the reception and support of children (0 to 4 years) while ensuring a quality service that complies with current standards.
- Contribute to and ensure the implementation of the pedagogical project of the childcare and institutional facility.
- Develop and implement educational actions linked to the pedagogical project.
- Support and supervise the activities of interns, apprentices, ASE and assistants.
- Create a group dynamic favourable to the awakening, development and socialisation of children (0 to 4 years).
- Ensure the formalisation and transmission of information to families.
- Collaborate in the preparation and facilitation of information and exchange meetings with the children’s representatives.
Your profile
- Hold a diploma from the Higher School of Early Childhood Educators of Geneva or Lausanne (ESEDE) or any diploma deemed equivalent and recognised by SEFRI.
- Demonstrate initiative, adaptability, enthusiasm, openness and kindness.
- Show good listening skills, stress management and ease in communication.
- Have at least 2 years of successful experience in early childhood.
