Role:

Technical excellence meets leadership competence. You are deeply rooted in IT infrastructure, familiar with modern cloud technologies, and want to not only accompany but actively shape technical decisions? In this role, you combine operational expertise with strategic foresight and lead a team of IT specialists both professionally and organisationally. You develop powerful system landscapes, drive cloud transformation forward, and ensure that complex IT infrastructures remain secure, stable, and future-proof.

Responsibilities:

• Professional and personnel leadership of a team in the area of system engineering and IT infrastructure

• Technical responsibility for the operation, further development, and optimisation of complex IT system landscapes

• Design and implementation of modern Microsoft Azure architectures as well as hybrid cloud environments

• Further development of server, network, and virtualisation platforms

• Responsibility for planning and implementing infrastructure projects and technological modernisations

• Ensuring a stable, secure, and high-performance IT operation

• Development and implementation of cloud strategies and modern infrastructure-as-code concepts

• Optimisation of monitoring, automation, and deployment processes

• Technical analysis of complex faults and sustainable resolution of system problems

• Further development of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery concepts

• Implementation of security standards, access models, and technical governance requirements

• Promotion of knowledge building within the team and establishment of a sustainable engineering culture

Qualifications:

• Several years of experience in system engineering, IT infrastructure management, or cloud engineering

• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Azure and modern cloud architectures

• Very good technical understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and hybrid IT environments

• Experience with virtualisation technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V

• Knowledge of PowerShell, automation, and infrastructure as code, for example with Terraform or Bicep

• Understanding of network architectures, IT security, backup, and high availability

• Experience in technical project leadership or professional leadership of IT specialists

• Analytical thinking and ability to solve complex technical problems in a structured manner

• High quality standards as well as an independent and solution-oriented working style
