1 apprenticeship position from August 2027 As an apprentice network electrician specialising in energy, you will be trained to ensure that electrical energy is reliably distributed across the entire airport area. You will assist with the laying and connection of high-voltage cables, prepare cable ends for connection, and connect them to the electrical distribution systems. Maintenance work in transformer stations, commissioning of protective devices, and upkeep of lighting systems on the operational areas at Zurich Airport complete this exciting field of activity. Your job destination
- You are responsible for the installation and maintenance of public lighting on roads, aprons, and runways
- You lay and connect high-voltage cables
- Connecting transformer stations, medium- and low-voltage systems, and house connections are part of your duties
- You carry out maintenance, switching, and control work
Your skills in your kit
- You have successfully completed compulsory schooling at secondary level
- You enjoy practical activities
- Your working style is characterised by independence, reliability, and a sense of responsibility
- A quick grasp and a love of logical thinking are among your strengths
- Your manual dexterity and practical aptitude distinguish you
- Good physical condition and no fear of heights
- No colour vision deficiency (cable colours must be distinguishable)
