Project Manager Building Construction (m/f/d)

Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for an experienced individual as Project Manager: Architecture / Building Construction to lead an architecturally demanding new build project in an established, internationally oriented architectural environment. You will take responsibility for project organisation, execution planning, tendering and coordination of interdisciplinary planning teams across several project phases. The focus is on developing high-quality architectural and constructive solutions, ensuring quality, costs and deadlines, as well as collaborating with specialist planners, contractors and authorities. The position offers a long-term perspective with project responsibility, digital planning methods and sophisticated architecture.

Responsibilities:

• Project management architecture: Independent leadership and coordination of demanding new build projects across several planning and realisation phases.

• Team leadership: Professional leadership and organisation of the internal architecture and planning team as well as control of project processing.

• Project and execution planning: Responsibility for the creation and coordination of construction projects, execution plans, detailed planning and constructive solutions.

• Tendering and submission: Preparation and coordination of tender documents, specifications, construction descriptions and award criteria.

• Specialist planner coordination: Coordination with structural engineers, building services planners, specialists and other project participants.

• Cost and schedule management: Monitoring of project budgets, cost estimates, schedules and planning milestones.

• Architectural quality assurance: Ensuring design and technical quality considering materialisation, building construction and execution details.

• CAD and BIM coordination: Management of digital planning processes with AutoCAD, Revit and BIM as well as ensuring a consistent planning basis.

• Building law and standards: Consideration of relevant SIA standards, cantonal building regulations and building law requirements.

• Project communication: Organisation and leadership of planning meetings, coordination discussions and project alignments with clients, contractors and authorities.

• Execution support: Supporting realisation through plan review, technical clarifications, detail optimisations and coordination with site management.

Qualifications:

• Completed architecture studies at ETH or FH or a comparable recognised higher education qualification.

• At least 3 years of professional experience as a project manager in architecture in Switzerland with responsibility for demanding building construction projects.

• Solid experience in all SIA project phases, especially in tendering and execution planning.

• In-depth knowledge of building construction, detailed planning, Swiss building law and SIA standards.

• Experience in professional leadership of planning teams, specialist planner coordination as well as cost, schedule and quality management.

• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit as well as experience with BIM-based planning methods is an advantage.

• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form for project coordination, technical documentation and negotiations.
