Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for an experienced professional as a Project Manager in Architecture ETH / FH for an established architectural firm specialising in residential construction and demanding new build projects. The focus is on the planning and realisation of a residential development with around 70 apartments, a kindergarten and various commercial spaces. You will take over project management from the further development of a successful competition project to the construction implementation and be responsible for architectural, technical and organisational coordination. The position combines demanding architecture, design responsibility and professional project management with the opportunity to significantly shape a versatile construction project.

Responsibilities:

• Independent project management of a demanding new build project in multi-storey residential construction with supplementary public and commercial uses

• Project development and execution planning from the further development of the competition project through to building permit and realisation

• Leadership and coordination of interdisciplinary planning teams with architects, structural engineers, building services planners and other specialists

• Architectural and constructive project work including development of design concepts, materialisation and demanding detailed solutions

• Creation and coordination of project, building permit and execution plans with ArchiCAD as well as ensuring a consistent digital planning basis

• Project control and project monitoring with responsibility for deadlines, planning quality, cost awareness and compliance with agreed project goals

• Coordination of specialist planning in the areas of structural engineering, building services, fire protection, building physics, energy and sustainability

• Support of building permit procedures as well as coordination with clients, authorities and other project participants

• Ensuring compliance with relevant SIA standards, cantonal building regulations and technical requirements

• Organisation and leadership of planning meetings including decision coordination, minute-taking and action item management

• Quality assurance in execution planning with focus on construction, technical feasibility, cost-effectiveness and architectural quality

• Support of tenders and awards as well as coordination with site management and contractors during realisation

Qualifications:

• Completed architecture studies ETH or FH or equivalent recognised qualification

• At least 7-8 years of professional experience in Swiss architectural practice, ideally in multi-storey residential construction

• Proven experience in independent project management of demanding new build projects across several SIA phases

• Very good ArchiCAD skills as well as solid experience in digital project, building permit and execution planning

• In-depth knowledge of Swiss planning and construction processes, especially SIA standards, building permit procedures and cantonal building regulations

• Advanced expertise in architectural design, construction, detailed planning and specialist planner coordination

• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form
