Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for a qualified professional for architectural planning and technical project processing of conversion and renovation projects in private residential construction. You will be responsible for creating and processing existing condition, building permit, project, and execution plans and accompany construction projects from the initial survey to the structural implementation. The focus is on CAD planning with ArchiCAD, constructive detail development, feasibility studies, and technical coordination with architects, site managers, and contractors. The position offers varied tasks in building refurbishment, modern digital workflows, and development opportunities in a practice-oriented architecture and project management environment.

Responsibilities:

• Creation of architectural and structural plans for demanding conversion, renovation, and refurbishment projects in private residential construction

• Surveys and documentation of existing conditions including measurements, recording of existing building structures, and digital preparation of existing plan documents

• CAD planning with ArchiCAD including creation and editing of floor plans, sections, elevations, and digital building models

• Project and building permit planning with preparation of submission plans, technical documents, and legally relevant evidence

• Working and execution planning with creation of precise plan documents for the implementation of conversions and structural adjustments

• Constructive detail planning with development of component connections, wall and floor constructions, and technical solutions for existing building structures

• Participation in conversion concepts and variant studies with examination of floor plan adjustments, changes of use, and structural optimisation possibilities

• Support in feasibility assessments with analysis of existing building fabric, legal framework conditions, and constructive implementation possibilities

• Creation of technical detail documents including door and window lists, material specifications, area calculations, and component overviews

• Coordination of plan documents with architects, site managers, specialist planners, and executing companies

• Technical clarifications and support with building submissions including checking planning bases, handling official queries, and coordinating project-specific requirements

• Plan and documentation management with maintenance of CAD files, revision statuses, existing documents, and structured project documentation

Qualifications:

• Completed vocational training as a draftsman/woman EFZ specialising in architecture or an equivalent construction-technical education

• Very good CAD user skills, preferably ArchiCAD, as well as experience in digital 2D and 3D plan processing

• Expertise in existing condition surveys, building permit, working, and detail planning, ideally with practical experience in conversion and renovation projects

• Good technical understanding of building construction, materials, and construction processes, especially for interventions in existing building structures

• Knowledge of Swiss SIA planning phases, building standards, and legal basics as well as experience with building permit documents is an advantage

• Experience in creating door and window lists, area calculations, and technical project documentation as well as confident use of digital planning tools

• Good German language skills in spoken and written form for technical clarifications, project documentation, and communication with project participants
