Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced specialist for the overall project management of demanding building construction projects from project takeover to turnkey handover. You bear the entrepreneurial responsibility for costs, deadlines, quality and resources and manage all project participants in the general contractor/subcontractor environment. Your responsibilities include in particular tendering, awarding, contract management, project controlling and billing of subcontractor and planner services. The role combines operational project management with leadership responsibility and close cooperation with the client, project development, costing and specialist planning.
Responsibilities:
Assuming entrepreneurial overall responsibility for building construction projects up to turnkey handover to the client
Independent management of projects regarding costs, deadlines, quality, resources and profitability
Organisation and leadership of interdisciplinary project teams as well as coordination of involved internal and external specialist departments
Execution and management of tendering, submissions and awarding for contractor and planner services
Conducting award and contract negotiations as well as managing subcontractors and sub-planners
Responsibility for project budget, cost forecasts, change order management, invoice verification and project accounting
Performing post-calculations and continuous monitoring of the economic project development
Coordination of architects, specialist planners, contractors, authorities and other project participants
Central contact person for the client as well as leading project, coordination and decision meetings
Close cooperation with costing and project development to ensure seamless project processing
Management of quality assurance, acceptance, defect management and handover until successful project completion
Ensuring compliance with relevant SIA standards, contracts for work and Swiss construction regulations
Qualifications:
Degree as certified building construction site manager HFP, HF technician construction planning, FH/ETH architect or FH/ETH civil engineer
Several years of experience in overall project management of demanding Swiss building construction projects
Solid experience in the general contractor/subcontractor environment as well as in tendering, awarding and contract management
Proven knowledge in cost, schedule, quality and change order management
Experience in technical and organisational leadership of project teams
Comprehensive knowledge of SIA standards, Swiss construction processes and contract management
Very good German language skills spoken and written
