Within an IT department combining Infrastructure, Data and DevOps activities, our client, a public sector organisation in French-speaking Switzerland, is sustainably strengthening its project team. The holder will manage technical projects related to infrastructure, platforms, data, cloud and cybersecurity, from design through to operational deployment.

Main responsibilities
Manage one or more technical IT projects end-to-end (scope, schedule, budget, quality, risks).
Coordinate internal technical teams (infrastructure, network, systems, security, databases, operations) and external providers.
Lead projects according to the HERMES methodology and PMO, architecture and security standards.
Organise testing, production deployments, migrations and cutovers, then the handover to operations.
Analyse change requests, prepare decisions and report to steering committees.
Implement management indicators (progress, costs, deadlines, risks, quality).
Profile sought
Education
University Master’s degree in computer science, EPF engineering diploma or equivalent training.
Essential skills
Minimum 5 years proven experience in IT project management.
Confirmed experience managing infrastructure-related projects (network, databases, virtualisation, storage, security...).
Mastery of the HERMES methodology; a valid certification is a plus (PMI or IPMA also appreciated).
Mastery of all project phases: planning, financial monitoring, risk management, testing, production deployment.
French C2 - English B2
Important skills
Management of multidisciplinary teams composed of experts, including in remote work contexts: delegation, goal setting.
Good understanding of IT security issues (risk analysis, frameworks).
Strong ability to interact with expert engineers, stakeholders and management.
Assets
Cloud experience (private, hybrid, public).
Experience with data projects.
Experience in DevOps transformation and containerisation.
Experience in the public sector or institutional environment, including presentations to governance bodies.
Qualities
Excellent written and oral communication.
Leadership, autonomy, initiative, anticipation and negotiation skills.
