EXPERIENCED PROJECT MANAGER (m/f/d)

Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for an experienced professional to manage demanding residential and high-rise construction projects within an established architectural environment. You will independently further develop and manage a large new settlement with around 70 apartments, a kindergarten, and commercial uses, from the award-winning competition design through planning to construction realisation. The focus is on architectural and structural project development, interdisciplinary specialist planner coordination, CAD planning with ArchiCAD, as well as schedule, cost, and quality management. The position offers the opportunity to significantly shape a versatile residential project with diverse usage requirements in the long term and in close collaboration with an experienced planning team.

Responsibilities:

• Independent project management in residential construction with responsibility for the architectural and technical development of demanding new build and settlement projects

• Further development of a competition project by transferring the award-winning design into an approvable, economical, and technically feasible plan

• Project control according to SIA phases from preliminary design and construction project development through building permit application to execution planning and realisation

• Architectural conception and design coordination with further development of floor plan concepts, building volumes, façades, and communal usage areas

• Planning of mixed-use buildings coordinating the requirements of residential construction, kindergarten, commercial spaces, and communal infrastructure

• Leadership and coordination of interdisciplinary specialist planner teams including structural engineers, building services planners, landscape architects, and other specialists

• CAD planning and digital project processing with ArchiCAD including 3D building modelling, plan review, and coordination of technical planning bases

• Building permit and approval planning with preparation and coordination of submission documents as well as coordination with authorities and other project participants

• Working and execution planning with development of constructive detail solutions, material concepts, and technically coordinated architectural plans

• Cost, schedule, and quality management with monitoring of project goals, coordination of planning milestones, and review of architectural execution quality

• Client consulting and project communication with leading planning meetings, presenting project statuses, and preparing technical decision bases

• Coordination of tendering and construction execution with support in specifications, award documents, and constructive clarifications during realisation

Qualifications:

• Completed architecture studies at ETH, FH, or university or an equivalent recognised higher education qualification

• At least 7-8 years of professional experience in Swiss architectural planning with proven independent project management responsibility

• Solid experience in multi-storey residential construction, ideally in the planning and realisation of larger residential settlements or mixed-use high-rise projects

• In-depth knowledge of Swiss SIA planning phases, especially SIA 102, as well as building law and technical requirements in high-rise construction

• Very good user knowledge of ArchiCAD with experience in digital 2D/3D planning and structured project processing

• Proven expertise in architectural design, building construction, and execution planning as well as experience in leading interdisciplinary planning teams

• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form for project management, authority coordination, technical documentation, and client communication
