Project Manager Construction & Site Development (m/f/d)

Role:

On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced professional as Project Manager Construction & Site Development for the structural development of a large-scale industrial and logistics site. You will be responsible for diverse new build, conversion, renovation, maintenance and tenant fit-out projects from planning to successful handover. The focus is on managing costs, schedules and quality, coordinating specialist planners and contractors, and supporting approval procedures. The position combines classic construction project management with asset development, investment planning and technical property management.

Responsibilities:

• Independent planning, management and coordination of construction projects from project definition to acceptance and handover

• Responsibility for new builds, conversions, renovations and maintenance projects within an existing industrial and commercial site

• Management and monitoring of costs, schedules, quality and project progress throughout the relevant project phases

• Planning and coordination of tenant fit-outs and usage adjustments in industrial, production, storage and logistics areas

• Conducting feasibility studies and variant analyses for structural and technical modifications of existing properties

• Coordination of architects, specialist planners, site managers, contractors and suppliers as well as internal project participants

• Support of building permit procedures and coordination with municipalities, cantonal specialist offices and other authorities

• Obtaining, reviewing and comparing contractor offers and tenders as well as participating in awarding decisions

• Review of contractor invoices, change orders and cost variations and ensuring transparent project accounting

• Preparation and ongoing monitoring of project budgets, investment costs and cost forecasts including variance analyses

• Creation of structured project and investment reporting for internal decision-makers

• Support in long-term site, building and maintenance planning considering cost-effectiveness and value preservation

Qualifications:

• Technical construction education with further training at HF/FH level, for example in architecture, civil engineering, construction management or construction project management

• Several years of professional experience in construction project management, ideally with conversions, renovations, commercial properties or site developments

• Sound knowledge of construction processes, cost management, scheduling and quality assurance

• Experience with tenders, offer comparisons, awarding, change order management and construction accounting

• Knowledge of building permit procedures and collaboration with Swiss authorities and specialist offices

• Experience with tenant fit-outs, existing properties or industrial and logistics buildings is an advantage

• Very good German language skills for project correspondence, negotiations and documentation
