Overall Project Manager HVAC (m/f/d)

Role:

On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced individual as Overall Project Manager Building Services HVAC for the overarching management of complex and demanding building services projects. You will take overall responsibility for costs, deadlines, quality and profitability and coordinate the trades heating, ventilation, air conditioning and sanitation across all relevant project phases. You will lead interdisciplinary planning teams, manage internal and external project participants, and ensure a technically and economically optimal overall solution. The position combines overall project management, engineering, BIM and sustainable building services with high responsibility in client and project management.

Responsibilities:

• Assuming overall project management for complex HVAC projects from conception and planning to realisation and handover

• Overall responsibility for costs, deadlines, quality, resources and profitability within the projects managed

• Overarching technical and organisational coordination of HVAC trades as well as alignment with electrical, building automation, architecture and other disciplines

• Leadership and management of interdisciplinary project and planning teams as well as coordination of external specialist planners and experts

• Management of projects along the relevant SIA phases including design, tendering, realisation, commissioning and completion

• Development and evaluation of building services, energy and system concepts considering investment costs, operating costs and lifecycle

• Responsibility for project controlling, cost forecasts, risk management and change management

• Ensuring coordinated digital planning and BIM execution as well as definition and control of relevant planning and interface processes

• Consulting clients, investors, architects and general planners on technical, economic and strategic issues

• Conducting and leading project, planning and coordination meetings and ensuring well-founded decision-making bases

• Supporting acquisition, tendering and client development as well as professional representation in the Swiss building services market

• Further development of planning standards, project processes and cross-trade engineering solutions with a focus on energy efficiency and sustainable building services

Qualifications:

• Higher technical education in building services, supply engineering or engineering at HF/FH/ETH level or equivalent qualification

• Several years of experience in overall project management of complex building services or HVAC projects in the Swiss market

• Sound knowledge in HVAC, general planning, specialist coordination and project management across several SIA phases

• Experience in cost, schedule, quality, risk and contract management for larger construction or building services projects

• Good knowledge of relevant SIA standards, Swiss construction practice and energy-related requirements

• Experience with BIM and digital planning as well as cross-trade coordination processes is an advantage

• Very good German language skills for project management, negotiations and technical documentation
