ICT System Specialist, 100%
to start immediately or by arrangement.Your tasks – our position
Operation & continuous improvement (Run)
- Level 2 support: handling tickets, diagnosing and resolving common faults in the areas of virtualisation, storage, data backup, Windows and Linux.
- Daily checking of data backup processes, monitoring and handling infrastructure alerts, reviewing reports, resolving common errors, escalating complex cases.
- Ongoing operation of virtualisation platforms, maintenance tasks, installation of patches.
- Monitoring the operation of storage solutions (Pure Storage, DELL/EMC, Brocade).
- Execution of operational tasks defined by the ICT system engineer or ICT technical architects.
- Installation, configuration and maintenance of the operational status of Windows and Linux servers, storage infrastructures and data centres.
- Coordination with the network team (Networks) to integrate requirements into server and virtualisation infrastructures.
- Participation as an operational actor in infrastructure and architecture projects, without responsibility for project management or coordination.
- Participation in on-call duty according to the duty roster.
- Creation and maintenance of detailed infrastructure documentation in French or German.
- Technical documentation in English.
- Adherence to established escalation procedures for incidents that cannot be resolved at level 2.
- Implementation of policies and security regulations issued by the security department and reporting of all detected violations.
Your skills – our requirements
- Training in the IT field (EFZ, apprenticeship or equivalent recognised qualification).
- Proven experience in level 2 IT support / system administration, ideally in a hospital environment.
- Proven competencies in the installation and administration of Windows and Linux servers as well as SAN storage systems.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge in virtualisation (VMware vSphere, ESXi), data backup (VEEAM) and storage systems (Pure Storage, DELL/EMC, Brocade).
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge in PowerShell scripting.
- Maintenance and updating of the monitoring system (WhatsUp Gold).
- Good team and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks, in close collaboration with the ICT system engineer or ICT technical architect.
- Carefulness, reliability and service orientation.
- Native language: German or French, with good knowledge of the other language.
- Intermediate knowledge of technical English.
