For our specialised maintenance workshop in Dietikon, we are looking for a technically skilled individual for the maintenance of our shunting locomotives. In this role, you will combine practical workshop work, repairs and diagnostics on the vehicles (approx. 80%) with technical support for our operational engineering (approx. 20%). What you can achieve.

Workshop, Support & Maintenance of Shunting Locomotives (approx. 80%)

• You carry out preventive maintenance of diesel and hybrid locomotives and check vehicle-specific systems such as radio remote controls, train radio systems, compressed air/brake systems and train protection.
• You perform functional checks and replace components as needed; conversions and modifications on prototypes are carried out in coordination with engineering.
• With technical know-how, you systematically troubleshoot and use computer-assisted diagnostics to resolve faults.
• You replace and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electronic assemblies such as axle gearboxes, compressors, bogie components, pumps or converters. Additionally, you carry out inspections and approvals of the vehicles in accordance with applicable maintenance and safety regulations.

• As a technical interface, you coordinate issues between the workshop and operational engineering.
• In the case of recurring problems, you prepare fault analyses (root cause), inspection reports and the associated technical documentation.
• You contribute to the optimisation of maintenance processes, test plans and work instructions.
• You actively support technical special investigations, fleet modifications and retrofit projects and ensure the quality of traceability and documentation.

What you bring with you.

• High safety and quality awareness, an independent working style as well as enjoyment of practical workshop work and teamwork characterise you.
• You have sound knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatics and vehicle electrics as well as an interest in systematic diagnostics. Further training as a diagnostician (e.g. agricultural machinery, commercial vehicle or automotive diagnostician) or a similar additional qualification is an advantage.
• You have completed vocational training as an electromechanic, electrician, automation technician, automatic assembly technician, polymechanic or mechanic/mechatronics technician (automotive, commercial vehicles, construction machinery, agricultural machinery).
• You can apply your solid MS Office and diagnostic software skills daily.
