Role:
For our ROCKEN partner, an internationally active company in the field of care and integration of asylum seekers and refugees with over 30 employees at the Zurich location, we are looking for an experienced professional as Senior Team Leader Accounting. You will take over the operational management of the accounting department and act as the clear deputy to the Head of Accounting. In this role, you act as a central interface between accounting and reporting and make a decisive contribution to the stability, efficiency and further development of financial processes in an internationally active company with employees from over 100 nations.
Responsibilities:
You lead a team of 4 professionally and personally, including task distribution, prioritisation as well as coaching and development
You are responsible for monthly and annual financial statements (AP, AR, bank reconciliations, provisions, closing entries, balance sheet and account reconciliations) including ensuring data quality
You manage the operational accounting processes, including payment runs, budget-based disbursements and invoice preparation
You are the escalation point for operational issues as well as the interface to IT and external partners
You are the key user for Esker (AP workflow) and support tests, releases and continuous process optimisation
Qualifications:
You have a completed degree in accounting/finance or a comparable further education
You bring at least 5 years of professional experience in accounting, ideally with leadership experience
You possess sound knowledge in monthly and annual financial statements as well as balance sheet and account reconciliations
You have a very good understanding of accounting processes (AP/AR/GL) as well as experience with ERP systems (e.g. Business Central, LucaNet); experience with Esker or comparable AP workflow systems is an advantage
You have very good Excel skills and work in a structured, resilient and detail-oriented manner
You communicate fluently in German and English
