We are looking for our Environment department in Lausanne (VD), a Fluvial Hydraulics Intern (m/f/d) for a period of 6 months, starting October 2026.

The start date is flexible and can be agreed upon mutually.

Your tasks

• Conduct bibliographic analyses

• Participate in field surveys

• Contribute to hydrological/hydraulic studies, hydraulic sizing (rainflow transformation, 1D/2D hydraulic modelling, structure laws, sediment transport) and other river development designs

• Participate in projects for flood protection, river/lake shore renaturation or fish migration restoration

• Write reports and hydraulic calculation notes

Your profile

You are currently studying and wish to apply your knowledge to concrete projects related to fluvial hydraulics:

• Engineering student at EPF/HES in civil or environmental engineering, specialising in fluvial hydraulics or equivalent training

• Proficient in GIS software and use of 1D/2D hydrological/hydraulic models (BASEMENT, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, PCSWMM, etc.)

• Analytical and synthetic thinking as well as good writing skills

• Mobile and holding a driving licence

• Dynamic and autonomous personality, with a sense of initiative
