Job Description
As General Manager, you assume overall responsibility for the establishment and ensure the excellence of its operation, both operationally and commercially, financially and in terms of human resources. Leading multidisciplinary teams, you directly oversee all departments, from accommodation to catering, including bars, housekeeping and wellness areas. Your in-depth knowledge of the hospitality professions allows you to be actively involved in operations and to effectively support your department heads. A true conductor, you guarantee the coherence and quality of the customer experience, cultivating authentic, warm hospitality attentive to detail. Particularly involved in F&B activities, you ensure the quality of services, the attractiveness of catering concepts and the animation of the various living spaces of the establishment. As a hands-on manager, you unite, support and develop your staff; as a rigorous manager, you control budgets, manage costs, optimise resources and analyse performance indicators to ensure sustainable profitability. With a genuine commercial temperament, you contribute to the establishment's reputation, develop business opportunities and maintain privileged relationships with customers, tourism partners and local economic actors. Your ability to bring the establishment to life according to the seasons, to enhance its various offers and to make it a place of meeting and conviviality is an essential dimension of your mission.
Profile Sought
Graduated from a recognised higher hospitality training, you have confirmed managerial experience, ideally acquired within a 3 to 4-star hotel establishment. You combine hotel expertise, commercial sense and unifying leadership, and have excellent mastery of accommodation operations as well as particularly strong expertise in the field of catering and F&B, understanding both operational challenges and profitability levers. Comfortable managing teams, you know how to combine strategic vision, financial rigour and active presence on the ground. Your dynamic personality, relational intelligence and sense of diplomacy allow you to unite your collaborators and maintain constructive relationships with a demanding management. Entrepreneurial at heart, you demonstrate autonomy, discernment and a real sensitivity to the customer experience. Your ability to integrate sustainably into a tourist environment, to develop a solid local network and to promote your establishment beyond its resident clientele is a decisive asset. You must be fluent in French, English and German, both spoken and written, and hold a hotel operating licence, ideally in the canton of Bern.
