Role:
In an environment with particularly high demands on security and availability, you take on a central role between Security Operations, System Engineering, and technical development. You accompany incidents until a sustainable solution is found, operate security-relevant platforms, and contribute your own ideas to improve the infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
You accompany security incidents end-to-end – from initial detection and analysis through containment to resolution.
You derive sustainable improvement measures from incidents and ensure that identified vulnerabilities are not only fixed in the short term.
You operate and administer security platforms for firewall, proxy, NDR, XDR, and EDR and ensure their quality and availability.
You analyse logs, correlate technical contexts, and assess potential risks.
You evaluate new security technologies and implement suitable solutions technically.
You further develop the existing security infrastructure both technically and conceptually.
You support IT System Engineering with monitoring, patch management, and other infrastructural topics.
You take ownership of your systems and constructively question existing technical solutions.
You contribute your knowledge as a technical sparring partner to the team and support with demanding issues.
Qualifications:
You have completed training as an IT specialist EFZ or an equivalent qualification.
You bring several years of experience in system engineering and practical experience in cyber security.
You have solid knowledge of Linux as well as operating security platforms.
You have experience with incident handling, hardening, logging, and monitoring.
Ideally, you are familiar with the special requirements of critical infrastructures or regulated IT environments.
You work independently, responsibly, and reliably complete technical projects.
You question existing solutions, develop your own ideas, and actively share your know-how with others.
You enjoy supporting and coaching colleagues professionally.
You have an impeccable reputation and a strong awareness of security requirements.
You have very good German skills, understand Swiss German, and communicate well in technical English.
