You want to not only operate modern IT infrastructures but actively develop them? In this role, you connect servers, cloud, networks, and IT security. You solve demanding technical problems, optimise existing systems, and contribute your own ideas to sustainably advance IT.
Responsibilities:
You manage and optimise physical and virtual servers with Proxmox as well as central Microsoft services such as Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP. You also ensure the reliable operation of Microsoft SQL databases.
You resolve complex technical issues in 3rd-level support and ensure stable IT operations in on-premises and GCP environments through monitoring, regular updates, and targeted security measures.
You further develop the network and security infrastructure with firewalls, load balancers, and routing technologies and take care of certification authorities and SSL/TLS certificates.
You define technical standards, improve system and network security, and ensure clear documentation of IT systems and processes.
You support operations in the 24/7 IT on-call service, perform maintenance outside regular working hours when necessary, and occasionally visit various holiday locations for technical assignments.
Qualifications:
You have training in computer science at EFZ, HF, or FH level or a comparable university degree and at least five years of professional experience in IT infrastructure, cloud, or IT security.
You are familiar with server administration, virtualisation, and Microsoft technologies. Experience with Proxmox, Active Directory, Microsoft SQL, and GCP is an advantage.
You bring knowledge in network technology and IT security and ideally are familiar with firewalls, load balancers, and SSL/TLS certificates.
You work independently, analytically, and solution-oriented and enjoy mastering complex technical challenges and improving existing systems.
You communicate confidently in German and English. Additional IT certifications or experience in software development are a plus.
