DESIGN ARCHITECT (m/f/d)

Salary - CHF85,000 - 90,000

Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for a design-oriented professional for the development of sophisticated architectural concepts with a focus on residential construction, new housing developments and building refurbishment. You will work on diverse architectural projects of various scales and contribute to design planning, project development and the elaboration of architectural concepts. The focus is on urban analyses, innovative housing concepts, sustainable construction methods as well as CAD-supported planning with Archicad and Vectorworks. The position offers the opportunity to creatively shape high-quality architectural projects from the initial idea to detailed project planning.


Responsibilities:

  • Development and elaboration of independent architectural designs for residential construction projects, new housing developments, conversions and building refurbishment

  • Processing of preliminary studies, feasibility studies and architectural concepts considering urban, functional and design requirements

  • Analysis of building plots, existing building structures and urban framework conditions as a basis for design development

  • Creation of floor plan concepts, volume studies, façade designs and spatial variants for different residential and building typologies

  • CAD-supported design and project planning with Archicad and Vectorworks including 2D plan processing and 3D modelling

  • Participation in architectural competitions, study commissions and project developments including concept presentations and presentation materials

  • Further development and refinement of architectural designs in the SIA phases preliminary studies, preliminary project and construction project

  • Development of material, façade and design concepts considering constructive and sustainable building methods

  • Review of design variants regarding building law, usage requirements, cost-effectiveness and construction feasibility

  • Creation of architectural visualisations, presentation plans and digital building models for internal design discussions and clients

  • Coordination of architectural concepts with project managers, specialist planners and other planning participants during project development


Qualifications:

  • Completed architecture degree ETH/FH or comparable recognised higher education

  • 2 to 3 years professional experience in architectural planning, preferably with a focus on design, residential construction and project development

  • Very good knowledge of Archicad and Vectorworks as well as experience in 2D/3D architectural planning

  • Solid knowledge in architectural design, floor plan development, building volumetry and urban analysis

  • Knowledge in residential construction, building refurbishment and sustainable architecture as well as basics of the Swiss SIA planning phases

  • Experience in creating design studies, architectural visualisations and presentation materials

  • Very good German language skills in spoken and written form for project documents and design discussions
