The Digital Transformation and AI Directorate (DTN-IA) creates, integrates, and manages all IT applications of one of the most efficient hospital information systems to support the clinical and logistical activities of the Geneva University Hospitals. With a fleet of more than 12,500 workstations, 1,300 servers for over 250 applications serving all staff, available 24/7, the DTN-IA manages an HR information system for the 13,000 employees of the HUG and seven other Geneva institutions, as well as a high-performance ERP for the most complex logistical and financial processes.
The DTN-IA creates a cutting-edge integrated patient record and contributes to the HUG’s reputation thanks to recognised functional richness and close collaborations with all healthcare professionals and their transversal management. Furthermore, the DTN-IA integrates state-of-the-art and everyday biomedical equipment as well as specialised applications for all medical-technical platforms.
The role of the DTN-IA is to support daily activities and build the future of a modern and efficient hospital, according to the Institution’s strategic axes, relying on best practices and the most demanding standards.
The DTN-IA "workstation" team handles IT service requests from staff and provides their equipment (PCs, MACs, tablets, phones, fax machines, printers, etc.). It ensures commissioning, renewal, and incident resolution. It contributes to the evolution of the workstation.
Within this team, you are responsible for the group in charge of workstation installation and troubleshooting. You supervise a team of about fifteen technicians providing level 2 support in the DTN-IA support chain.
Moreover, you organise and prioritise your team’s activities, ensuring adherence to schedules, quality, and objectives set by the DTN-IA. You oversee your team members’ activities and are able to assist and advise them in resolving complex incidents and commissioning tasks.
You develop and enhance procedures and working methods (KCS) to consolidate and share knowledge.
You create tools/scripts to facilitate workstation diagnosis or troubleshooting.
You sponsor projects related to workstation evolution in collaboration with workstation engineering.
You produce team monitoring indicators and report to the workstation domain manager.
While managing daily operations, you anticipate the future by participating in technological watch in the workstation field and proposing technological advancements.
You ensure your team’s skills are up to date and identify training needs.
Finally, you represent your group within the institution. You work closely with other DTN-IA teams, particularly the one responsible for workstation engineering.
