Software Developer for VoIP Systems (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF80,000 - 110,000Role:
In this role, you develop and optimise sophisticated VoIP systems that enable stable, secure, and high-performance communication. You take responsibility for the conception, implementation, and further development of software components throughout the entire development cycle. You analyse complex requirements, design appropriate architectures, and ensure high software quality through clean, maintainable code. You work closely with various stakeholders to precisely align technical solutions with business needs and continuously improve existing systems. Additionally, you are responsible for fault analysis and performance optimisation to ensure reliable operation of the VoIP platform.
Responsibilities:
- You develop complex, modern VoIP software solutions and adapt technical specifications to our telephony systems.
- In this role, you plan, coordinate, and lead technical sub-projects and oversee their implementation.
- You advise on architecture, technology, and best practice issues and ensure maintainable, well-designed solutions.
- As a software developer for VoIP systems, you develop and maintain applications, modules, and interfaces to databases and third-party systems.
- You identify performance bottlenecks early, initiate countermeasures, and optimise deployment and testing processes (CI/CD).
- In this role, you acquire new technologies, conduct pilot projects, and support the team as a coach and enabler.
Qualifications:
- You have a completed degree (HF / FH or equivalent) in computer science and bring 4-6 years of experience in the development and architecture of web-based services.
- You have solid knowledge of Java with Spring Boot, ideally complemented by experience in PHP, LUA, or C, as well as in RESTful web services and common web technologies (JavaScript, CSS, HTML5).
- You are familiar with VoIP / SIP technologies and systems such as Kamailio, OpenSIPS, Asterisk, or FreeSWITCH or have already gained initial experience.
- You have a good understanding of software security (e.g. SSL / HTTPS, JWT, encryption techniques) as well as database modelling in SQL and NoSQL systems (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB).
- You are familiar with Linux / RHEL, shell scripting, Git, web and application servers, as well as basic networking topics such as DNS, load balancers, and HTTP.
- You have experience with automated CI/CD pipelines and enjoy working in international projects with external collaborators, bringing your own innovative ideas.
