• Overall responsibility for the operational, personnel, and strategic management of the Building Insurance Schaffhausen (GVSH) as well as the Cantonal Fire Brigade
• Responsibility for strategy, financial planning, budgeting, as well as business and accountability reports
• Leadership and development of employees and promotion of a goal-oriented and service-oriented corporate culture
• Management and support of projects in the areas of legislation, digitalisation, organisational development, and risk management
• Advising and supporting the administrative commission and collaborating with cantonal authorities, municipalities, professional organisations, and external partners
• Further development of the organisation, processes, and services considering legal, technological, and societal developments
• Representation of the GVSH and the Cantonal Fire Brigade towards authorities, expert committees, and the public
• Responsibility for selected claims and participation in legal appeal procedures

• Advanced business administration education;
• additional legal training is an advantage
• Several years of leadership experience in a comparable environment, preferably in the public law or insurance-related sector
• Sound knowledge of insurance and liability law, ideally also public law
• Experience in organisational development, project management, and strategic corporate management
• Strong analytical and interconnected thinking skills as well as a structured and solution-oriented working style
• High communication and social competence as well as confident expression in spoken and written language
• Awareness of political processes and diverse stakeholder groups
• Interest in issues related to insurance, construction, safety, and risk management
• Confident demeanour, negotiation skills, and enthusiasm for a responsible leadership role
