System Engineer Network & Security (m/f/d)

Role:
In this role, you will manage the system and network landscape, ensure stable, secure operation and guarantee high availability of central IT services. You plan, implement and monitor network, server and security solutions and analyse faults to develop sustainable solutions. You also actively contribute to the further development of the infrastructure, optimise existing systems and bring your experience to projects. As a contact person for technical questions, you support internal stakeholders competently, practically and service-oriented.
Responsibilities:
- You ensure stable and reliable operation of the network and system landscape and continuously develop it
- In this role, you analyse complex faults in 3rd-level support, develop sustainable solutions and recognise possible correlations
- As a system and network administrator, you shape a modern technical environment through automation, integration, optimisation and the introduction of creative ideas
- You take on projects to introduce new technologies and support their implementation
- In this role, you work closely with various internal teams and external partners
- As a system and network administrator, you perform on-call duties in rotation with the team to ensure services outside regular working hours
Qualifications:
- You have completed training or further education in IT or networking and/or have corresponding practical experience
- You have solid knowledge of network technology (TCP/IP, routing/switching, network hardware)
- You bring knowledge of Linux/Unix systems, DNS, automation and/or virtualisation environments
- You enjoy modern technologies and continuously expanding your knowledge
- You work in a structured and independent manner and are characterised by high teamwork skills and clear communication
- You hold a category B driving licence
