Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced individual as Senior Client Representative / Client Advisor Building Construction for the strategic and operational management of complex construction projects for public and private clients. You represent the interests of the client from strategic planning through project design and realisation to commissioning and are responsible for projects with an investment volume of over CHF 20 million. The focus is on cost, schedule, quality, contract, and risk management as well as leading interdisciplinary project organisations with numerous stakeholders. You combine solid Swiss construction and real estate knowledge with economic and sustainability-related objectives.
Responsibilities:
Assuming the role of client representation and client advisory for demanding building construction projects across all relevant project phases
Strategic structuring and management of complex projects with an investment volume of over CHF 20 million
Responsibility for cost, schedule, quality, and risk management including forecasts, target-actual comparisons, and control measures
Leadership and coordination of architects, specialist planners, project management, specialists, and executing companies
Advising the client on strategic, technical, economic, and organisational project decisions
Development of project organisations, decision-making processes, project specifications, and governance structures
Management of planner and contractor procurement, tender procedures, and contractual interfaces
Responsibility for contract, change, and claim management as well as assessment of cost and schedule impacts
Preparation and moderation of project, steering, and decision-making committees as well as target-group-oriented reporting to clients and management
Coordination of interfaces with authorities, investors, users, and other internal and external stakeholders
Ensuring project execution in accordance with relevant SIA standards, Swiss planning, approval, and construction processes
Integration of sustainability, life cycle costs, and economic efficiency into project strategies and decision bases
Qualifications:
University degree in architecture, civil engineering, real estate management or a comparable field at FH/ETH/university level
At least 8-10 years of professional experience in managing demanding construction projects in Switzerland, ideally with several years in client representation or client advisory roles
Proven experience with complex building construction projects over CHF 20 million investment volume
Solid knowledge in cost, schedule, quality, risk, contract, and claim management
Very good knowledge of relevant SIA standards as well as Swiss planning, approval, and construction processes
Experience in advising and collaborating with public clients, institutional clients, investors, or management
Fluent German skills; English skills are an advantage
