As a Network Infrastructure & Security Engineer, you ensure that data flows securely and reliably, from the switch to the perimeter firewall. Your opinion carries weight in architectural decisions in the network and security environment. Complex routing scenarios with BGP and OSPF excite you rather than deter you. At the same time, you enjoy passing on your know-how to younger colleagues.
Responsibilities:
You configure and operate the firewall landscape and consistently develop it further
You plan and implement the network infrastructure with LAN, WAN, and WLAN, keeping it scalable and highly available
In complex network faults at 2nd and 3rd level support, you analyse the causes and resolve them sustainably
Furthermore, you advise internal stakeholders on network and security matters
You work hand in hand with system and security engineers on an integrated overall architecture
You also maintain standards, operating concepts, and documentation and promote knowledge transfer within the agile team
Qualifications:
You have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering or a comparable qualification
You have several years of experience in network engineering
You are proficient in BGP, OSPF, and other relevant protocols, as well as topics related to system security
You also have solid know-how in several areas such as VPN, switching, VLAN, DNS, routing, or certificate handling
You work independently and with quality awareness, enjoy coaching younger employees, and explain complex matters understandably to laypersons
You communicate fluently in both German and English and take on on-call duties as well as maintenance in the evenings or at weekends if required
