Procurement Professional with Leadership Responsibility (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF97,500 - 100,100Our client is an established Swiss industrial company specialising in the development and manufacture of high-quality machines and technical solutions. The company combines many years of experience with modern manufacturing technologies and places great value on quality, precision, and reliable production processes.
Role:
Do you want to combine your experience in industrial procurement with leadership responsibility? In this position, you will lead a team of four and shape the entire procurement process from strategic decisions to day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities:
You are responsible for the professional and personnel management of a four-person procurement team and organise the deployment of available resources.
You develop long-term partnerships with suppliers and establish additional procurement channels to secure material supply.
You ensure economical and timely procurement while considering the required quality standards.
You review supplier performance and existing procurement processes, identify weaknesses, and implement suitable improvements.
You conduct supplier visits and evaluations and use the insights to further develop the supplier network.
You keep an eye on procurement costs and financial targets and initiate appropriate measures in case of deviations.
You prepare the annual procurement budget and cost centre planning and manage the area based on meaningful key figures.
You maintain professional collaboration with internal departments and external business partners and ensure reliable communication.
Qualifications:
You have completed a technical basic education, for example as a polymechanic EFZ, automation technician EFZ, or designer EFZ, and have further advanced training in procurement, supply chain management, or business administration.
You bring several years of experience in leading a procurement team as well as sound knowledge of industrial procurement.
You are well acquainted with the strategic support and evaluation of suppliers.
You have already developed new sources and built supplier relationships.
You have experience working with production departments and technical specialist areas.
You are characterised by entrepreneurial thinking, assertiveness, negotiation skills, strong communication, and a high sense of responsibility.
You communicate confidently in German and well in English; knowledge of French or Italian is an advantage.
