The position is attached to the Diagnostic Department . Comprising nine medical services, its mission is to provide diagnostics, therapeutic products, therapeutic procedures, and specialised clinical consultations of high medical quality, within the shortest possible time and at an acceptable cost, to guide patient care and contribute to therapeutic decisions and actions.

The primary mission of the laboratory medicine service is to handle liquid samples of all kinds such as blood, urine, cerebrospinal fluid, as well as wound smears, and to subject them to numerous and varied analyses providing quality results as quickly as possible. The results guide medical decisions and therapeutic choices. They are obtained using the latest robotic, semi-robotic or manual technologies and the most efficient methods to date. The service also has research and teaching missions.

You perform routine bacteriological analyses, particularly in the field of automated bacteriology.

You participate, according to the needs of the service, in all assigned laboratory work as well as irregular hours, including on-call and standby duties.

You also contribute to technological development and its environment.

You demonstrate versatility and are capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

You participate in the training of laboratory staff and interns.

You contribute to the proper maintenance of the accreditation system.

You hold a diploma as a biomedical analysis technician (TAB) or an equivalent qualification.

You have knowledge in microbiology, particularly in automated microbiology, and possess in-depth knowledge in molecular biology, notably in real-time PCR, as well as in parasitology.

Your experience in laboratory work (handling cultures, molecular biology techniques) enables you to use PCR devices with ease.

Your rigour, sense of responsibility and autonomy allow you to perform assigned tasks optimally and efficiently. You are available to the medical staff when necessary.

Your interpersonal skills enable you to work easily in a team and integrate well.
