Project Manager Civil Engineering (m/f/d)

Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced Civil Engineer FH/ETH as Project Manager Structural Engineering for demanding structural projects in residential, industrial, and commercial construction. You will be responsible for the planning of steel and reinforced concrete structures and additionally handle geotechnical tasks such as excavation pits, underpinning, and foundations. Besides technical project work, you will take on a leadership and coordination role within interdisciplinary planning teams. The position combines structural planning, geotechnics, and project management with direct contact to clients, architects, and other specialist planners.
Responsibilities:
Independent project management in structural engineering for residential, industrial, and commercial buildings
Conceptualisation, planning, and design of steel and reinforced concrete structures
Development and assessment of structural concepts considering architecture, usage, cost-effectiveness, and feasibility
Execution and verification of static calculations, structural analyses, and design proofs
Handling geotechnical tasks such as excavation pits, excavation pit safety, underpinning, and foundations
Planning and dimensioning of shallow and deep foundations in coordination with geology, structure, and construction process
Technical leadership and coordination of engineers and draftsmen within assigned projects
Coordination of interfaces with architects, clients, specialist planners, and contractors
Responsibility for quality, deadlines, costs, and resources within the managed engineering projects
Ensuring the application of relevant SIA standards and Swiss structural standards
Technical consulting of existing clients as well as participation in offers, project acquisition, and customer care
Use of modern calculation, CAD, and BIM tools and contribution to the further development of digital planning processes
Qualifications:
Completed studies as a Civil Engineer FH or ETH, ideally with a focus on construction/structure
Several years of professional experience in structural planning and structural engineering
Solid knowledge in reinforced concrete construction, steel construction, statics, and structural design
Knowledge in geotechnics, excavation pits, underpinning, and foundations
Experience in project management and technical leadership of project teams
Confident handling of modern statics, CAD, and/or BIM software as well as knowledge of relevant SIA standards
Fluent German skills in spoken and written form
