IT/OT Engineer & Architect (m/f/d)
Our Rocken partner operates in the field of building materials and construction solutions. The company develops and produces innovative materials with a clear focus on sustainable production methods and circular economy. As a pioneer in the industry, new standards are set. You will be responsible for the technical consulting of demanding projects and accompany customers from planning to implementation. In doing so, you develop customised solutions and work closely with internal specialist departments. Innovation and long-term partnerships are central. The company relies on independent work, short decision-making paths, and genuine scope for design. Ready to actively shape the future of construction? Then our Rocken partner looks forward to your application.Role:
Do you want to combine classic IT with industrial operational technologies and design secure, reliable, and future-proof infrastructures? Do you understand both the requirements of modern IT systems and the special conditions of industrial plants and production environments? In this role, you develop holistic IT/OT architectures, implement technical solutions yourself, and ensure that systems, networks, and applications interact securely and reliably.
Responsibilities:
Design IT/OT architectures: You conceive and develop integrated IT/OT infrastructures and define standards for the secure networking of corporate IT, industrial networks, and operational systems.
Integrate and further develop systems: You plan and realise the connection of OT systems such as SCADA, PLCs, and industrial controls to existing IT platforms and ensure reliable data exchange.
Implement security and network segmentation: You develop security concepts for IT and OT environments, implement appropriate segmentation and access concepts, and reduce potential attack surfaces.
Support infrastructure projects: You are responsible for technical concepts, system integrations, migrations, and commissioning, ensuring availability, performance, and operational reliability.
Optimise standards and operations: You analyse existing environments, identify technical risks and improvement potentials, and continuously develop architectural specifications, documentation, and operational processes.
Qualifications:
You have training or a degree in computer science, electrical engineering, automation, or a comparable technical field and bring experience in IT, OT, or infrastructure environments.
You understand the architecture and interaction of networks, servers, virtualisation, industrial control systems, and operational applications.
You possess knowledge of network architectures, firewalls, VLANs, routing, and secure system integration. Experience with industrial protocols such as OPC UA or Modbus TCP is an advantage.
You are familiar with relevant security concepts for industrial environments, especially network segmentation, access control, and secure remote maintenance. Knowledge of IEC 62443 or comparable standards is a plus.
You work analytically, structured, and solution-oriented, can convey technical contexts understandably, and enjoy coordinating collaboration between IT, engineering, automation, and other specialist departments.
What to expect: A versatile technical role at the interface of information technology and industrial automation. You design modern system architectures, accompany demanding integration projects, and contribute to operating industrial processes safely, efficiently, and reliably.
Benefits:
- Canteen, meal allowances, and discounts
- Family-friendly employment conditions, childcare
- Attractive training and development opportunities
