Role:

On behalf of a client, we are seeking an experienced professional for the independent construction management and realisation of demanding building projects in an established Swiss architectural and construction management environment. You will take responsibility for new builds, conversions, and renovations, overseeing construction from tendering through to completion and warranty closure. The focus is on site coordination, schedule and cost control, quality assurance, tenders, and construction accounting. The position offers independent responsibility for architecturally high-quality construction projects and close collaboration with architects, specialist planners, and contractors.

Responsibilities:

• Independent construction management and on-site supervision of demanding new build, conversion, and renovation projects in building construction

• Organisation, coordination, and monitoring of all construction processes as well as management of involved contractors, craftsmen, and specialist planners

• Preparation and monitoring of construction programmes, schedules, and milestones to ensure timely project completion

• Responsibility for cost management and construction accounting including invoice control, cost forecasts, change order management, and final accounts

• Preparation and execution of tenders and bids including cost estimation, offer comparisons, and award proposals

• Drafting and reviewing of contracts for work and services as well as monitoring of contractually agreed services and execution quality

• Conducting site inspections and quality assurance regarding execution details, materials, building regulations, and SIA standards

• Leading construction meetings and coordinating with clients, architects, authorities, and contractors including minute-taking and action item management

• Review and coordination of execution and contractor plans as well as technical clarification of interfaces and constructive detail solutions

• Monitoring occupational safety and site organisation in compliance with applicable SUVA guidelines and safety regulations

• Organisation and execution of site handovers, commissioning, and project deliveries including defect recording and rectification

• Support during the warranty phase and warranty closure including warranty inspections, warranty management, and final documentation

Qualifications:

• Completed training as a certified construction manager in building construction, HF technician in construction planning, or architect FH/ETH or comparable construction technical qualification

• Several years of professional experience in independent construction management of demanding new build, conversion, or renovation projects in Switzerland

• Solid knowledge of tenders, cost estimation, contracts for work and services, construction accounting, and cost control

• Very good knowledge of Swiss SIA standards, especially SIA 118, as well as relevant building regulations and execution standards

• Experience in site coordination, scheduling, quality assurance, and change order management

• Confident use of MS Office and construction administration software, such as Messerli, Provis, or comparable systems

• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form for construction meetings, contract documents, and technical documentation
