Role:
A modern workplace only functions if devices, apps, and updates work together smoothly. As a Workplace Operations Engineer, you ensure exactly that and technically shape the client and mobile platform in a Microsoft 365 (M365) environment. The focus is on Microsoft Intune, with which you securely and efficiently manage Windows, iOS, and Android devices. You do not leave recurring processes to chance but consistently automate them. This creates a stable environment that everyone can rely on.
Responsibilities:
You develop configuration profiles, compliance, and endpoint security policies further and thus sustainably harden the end devices.
Additionally, you handle patch management: you plan update rings as well as feature and quality updates for the entire client fleet.
For persistent errors around enrolment, deployments, or configurations, you delve into the 2nd and 3rd level support and clarify the actual cause.
You package applications and roll them out automatically.
Furthermore, you design automated onboarding and offboarding processes with PowerShell, including licences, rights, and device assignments.
You also support Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint, implement lifecycle measures and migrations, and keep standards and documentation up to date.
Qualifications:
You have at least 3 years of experience in endpoint, client, or workplace engineering.
You are familiar with Windows 11 and 10 as well as the services around Microsoft 365.
You work confidently with device enrolment, mobile device management (MDM) and MAM, as well as with policies and profiles in Intune.
Additionally, you have already deployed clients with Windows Autopilot and managed updates via Windows Update for Business.
You understand how identity, security, and endpoint management interact and solve complex problems independently.
You approach topics with initiative and an analytical eye, communicate confidently in German, and read English technical documentation effortlessly.
