In this role, you actively shape modern IT infrastructures and are required both technically and in direct customer contact. You combine deep knowledge in virtualisation and infrastructure with consulting, project work, and 3rd-level support. From analysing existing environments through solution design to successful commissioning, you accompany demanding infrastructure projects and continuously develop existing platforms.
Responsibilities:
You advise customers, manufacturers, and technology partners and develop suitable solutions for complex infrastructure requirements.
You conceive, design, and implement modern virtualisation and cloud infrastructures.
You analyse existing platforms, identify optimisation potentials, and develop concepts for their modernisation.
You take on demanding 3rd-level support cases, conduct detailed fault analyses, and ensure sustainable solutions.
You plan and realise customer projects from technical conception through implementation to successful commissioning.
You conduct technical workshops and training sessions and ensure sustainable knowledge transfer.
You support the sales team in presales activities, solution designs, effort estimations, and technical offers.
You create and maintain technical documentation and actively contribute your knowledge to the team.
You evaluate new technologies and contribute to the further development of the virtualisation and cloud portfolio.
Qualifications:
You have several years of practical experience with VMware, KVM, or comparable virtualisation platforms.
You are very familiar with Windows Server, Windows clients, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
You bring good knowledge in networking and storage, for example in switching, routing, VLAN, SAN, NAS, or HCI.
Experience with enterprise infrastructures as well as hybrid data centre and cloud environments is an advantage.
Knowledge of Omnissa Horizon / Workspace ONE as well as HPE VM Essentials and HPE Morpheus is a plus.
Manufacturer certifications such as VMware VCF-I/A or Omnissa OCE-H/W are advantageous.
You work analytically, structured, and solution-oriented and like to take responsibility.
You communicate confidently with customers and colleagues and enjoy conveying technical content understandably.
You have very good German skills as well as good English skills.
