Exciting tasks await:

• Participation in the committee of the senior public prosecutor's office in the further development and coordination of the entire Public Prosecutor's Office Aargau
• Active involvement in the implementation and further development of the digitalisation of criminal prosecution
• Approval of non-prosecution, suspension and dismissal orders as well as control of penalty orders with the right to object
• Taking legal remedies against criminal judgments of the district courts and the higher court as well as representing the Public Prosecutor's Office Aargau before the Federal Court
• Conducting jurisdictional proceedings including representation of the Public Prosecutor's Office before the Federal Criminal Court

What you bring:

• a completed law degree and a lawyer's licence
• qualified, long-standing legal professional experience, preferably in criminal prosecution
• sound knowledge of criminal and criminal procedure law, criminology and forensic science
• proven leadership skills and many years of experience in personnel management
• a strong affinity for IT topics and motivation to participate in related projects

The election is made by the Grand Council on the proposal of the Government Council.

Your working environment

We are responsible for criminal proceedings against adults in the canton of Aargau at the Public Prosecutor's Office Aargau . We conduct the preliminary proceedings and prosecute offences and offenders in close cooperation with the police. We issue penalty orders, bring charges and represent the state's criminal claims in court.
