Role:

You do not think of security in individual tools but in layers and contexts. In this position as Senior Endpoint & Network Security Engineer, you shape the technical direction of managed security services and ensure robust protection concepts for demanding customers. When things get serious, you take the helm and confidently bring incidents to a close. At the same time, you introduce new technologies and define standards that others follow.

Responsibilities:

• You design multi-layered security architectures from identity through cloud to applications and optimise enterprise, cloud, and web application firewalls

• In critical security incidents, you maintain technical leadership and manage containment, remediation, and follow-up

• You are responsible for the design and expansion of Extended Detection and Response (XDR), EDR, and NDR solutions and build use cases, log integrations, and alerting in SIEM

• Furthermore, you define security baselines, hardening specifications, and vulnerability management processes for complex infrastructures

• You automate security operations with scripts and API connections, thus accelerating analysis and detection

• Additionally, you conduct architecture reviews, test new solutions in proofs of concept, and technically support demanding pre-sales projects

Qualifications:

• Several years of solid experience in security architecture, cyber security engineering, or security operations form your foundation

• You understand network, endpoint, cloud, and application security in detail and recognise dependencies across all levels

• Detection engineering, log correlation, and security monitoring are part of your repertoire, as is handling common firewall and EDR technologies

• Additionally, you have solid knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, and log analysis on Windows and Linux systems

• You script confidently in Python and Bash, know current attack techniques, and orient yourself on frameworks such as NIST, CIS Benchmarks, or MITRE ATT&CK

• You also impress with fluent German, communicate effortlessly in English, and work in a structured, solution-oriented manner with a lot of initiative
