Role:
A strong platform determines how confidently development teams can deliver. This is exactly where you come in as a Senior Platform Engineer CI/CD & Automation, shaping the technical direction of an environment around OpenShift and Kubernetes. Standards, architecture, and toolchain are your responsibility. In demanding situations, you set the technical pace. You enjoy sharing your knowledge and thus make the whole team stronger.
Responsibilities:
You design end-to-end processes for Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) and establish GitOps as a fixed component of build, test, and release.
You critically evaluate new tools and platform services and are responsible for their introduction from evaluation to productive use.
Furthermore, you define requirements for security, compliance, and governance and consistently implement them in the platform.
You take technical leadership in complex incidents and ensure thorough root cause analyses.
You actively contribute to central architectural decisions and advise development, architecture, and IT security on an equal footing.
Additionally, you mentor junior engineers professionally and establish a lively knowledge transfer.
Qualifications:
You have several years of solid experience in DevOps or platform engineering.
You are confident working with Kubernetes, OpenShift, and modern container ecosystems.
For automation and deployments, you rely on Git, ArgoCD, Tekton, TeamCity, or similar tools.
Moreover, you are well versed in container registries like Harbor and observability solutions such as ELK or Sentry.
You quickly abstract complex requirements and translate them into robust, pragmatic platform architectures.
You also impress with decisiveness, strong ownership, and the ability to convey knowledge appropriately to the target audience.
